River Safari
The Zambezi Queen is unique in that it’s a sophisticated, elegant experience that has not lost the essence of all that is uniquely African. There can be few natural wonders as synonymous with Africa’s raw wilderness as the great Chobe River. These waters divide Namibia’s Caprivi Strip from Botswana’s Chobe National Park, and its exotic banks boast one of the densest populations of wildlife on the African continent. Teeming with life, this National Park sprawls across some 11 000 m of lush African bush, and is home to the largest populace of elephants in the world – currently estimated at roughly 120 000. Along with the elephants, leopards and lions, huge groups of buffalo, waterbuck, roan, eland, sable, giraffe, and, if you are lucky, one of the rare puku, can also be seen. In the river itself watch out for hippo and crocodile, and keep your binoculars at the ready for spotting a rich selection of bird life.

Camp in Masai Mara
This private tented camp bordering the Masai Mara is your enclave of luxury in the wildest terrain of Kenya. You have a choice of 10 exclusive tents in which to host you and the entire 200km square of Naboisho Conservancy to reveal exclusively to you. The conservancy borders the Mara, no fences to inhibit the migration of animals which means you should see the big five and all the other indigenous animals on your check list right here, sometimes within five minutes of the camp. Only vehicles from the properties are allowed in the conservancy, so you see wildlife, not minibuses. The view from the camp is spectacular, the Mara is mostly flat plains but we are elevated on a rocky escarpment so you can see for miles. The size of the tents is remarkable and the exquisite paleness of the colours compliments the beauty of the design. The majority of the staff were brought up within a 15km radius of the camp. They know the land intimately and they care about it. Everyone has an excellent knowledge of the area, not only the guides. So if you’re in the dining tent and you point to the hills and ask the waiter what they’re called, he’ll tell you the name and what it means.

Elephant Safari Experience
Abu Camp offers a rare African experience that showcases the magnificent wildlife and landscape of the Okavango Delta; a safari that will transform your perceptions of elephants, wilderness, and life itself. As a guest of Abu Camp, you are invited to walk with and ride elephants, to get a glimpse of their world and learn about their lives. Becoming part of an African elephant herd is an extraordinary privilege that we seek to share. Pioneered in the early 1990s, and named after a much-mourned bull elephant, Abu Camp has been running for 20 years, and as such is the original elephant safari experience in Africa. For reflection, relaxation and even meditation, there is a separate comfortable seating area in each tent with a writing desk and a private elevated wooden deck sculpted around the lofty fig and jackal-berry trees shading the tents. Panoramic views, the likes of which only the Okavango Delta can boast, can be appreciated from all perspectives of the room.
